Brush Designs

Not at all! All skill levels are welcome. You will be guided by our experienced artists and are at liberty to follow the steps as loosely or closely as you like.

We will provide you with a canvas or board, brushes, and the paints required for the class's predetermined artwork.

For the weekly classes and 2-hour 'Tea and Easel' events, it is recommended for ages 15+, or particularly artistic pre-teens would also be welcome. For party events, we can discuss and prepare for younger ages.

Anything you're comfortable sitting and painting in, something that gives you free movement for your arms, but that you also don't mind getting paint on.

We want to make your experience cozy and warm, so we offer a range of warm drinks, including herbal teas, black tea mixes, coffee, and hot chocolate. Let us know if there is a particular warm drink you're interested in, and we can try to source it for you. Our premises are strictly alcohol free, so we also ask that you please do not bring any alcoholic drinks from home to our classes.

Our studio is small, and it allows us to provide an intimate and in-depth artistic education for all our students. Classes will range from 2 to 8 people for both weekly classes, 2-hour 'Tea and Easel' events, and party events.

To try out our space and teaching style, we would recommend signing up for a 2-hour 'Tea and Easel' event. Signing up for a term covers you for 10 lessons, and if there is a week you can't come to, your extra session rolls over to the next term.

For 2-hour 'Tea and Easel' events, we ask that you please give at least 48 hours' notice for a 'change of mind' cancellation, and you will receive a 50% refund. Unfortunately, due to the purchase and preparation of materials, for less than 48 hours' notice, we will not be able to provide any refund. For a week or more's notice, we can provide a 100% refund.

For party event cancellation, we ask that you give at least a week's notice for 'change of mind', and we can provide you with a 100% refund. Any less notice and unfortunately, it is unlikely we will be able to give any refund.

For a 10-week term, cancellation before it has begun (again with 48 hours' notice), we can provide a 100% refund. If the term has begun and you feel the classes are not for you, we can refund you the remainder of the term. If you are sick one week, don't worry, stay home and rest, and you can roll your class over to the next term.

There is plenty of street parking; however, being on a residential street, we ask that you be mindful of the residents.

Currently, no, we have 3 steps to the entrance of the property that has a railing to hold on to. We are working on getting a ramp that can be temporarily set up and packed down. Let us know if you have any particular accessibility needs, and we will do our best to accommodate.
